Weathervanes

Weathervanes will put your special mark on top of your house.  There are so many to choose from: horse weathervanes, pig weather vanes, rooster weather vanes, duck weather vanes, trout weathervanes, lighthouse weathervanes, arrows, eagles and so many more unique designs.  They can attach to your roof, gazebo, barn or shed.

Now that you have chosen what you want your weather vane too look like, you need to ask yourself do you want it made from copper, aluminum, steel or vinyl. Copper weathervanes have the longest lifespan of any of the metals. They can last well over 100 yrs.  They are also one of the most popular metals to have your weathervane made out of.  The steel weathervanes can be painted to help prevent rust.  Aluminum can be coated in a beautiful patina finish, and of course your vinyl weathervane won’t need any maintenance, but the lifespan isn’t as long as the metal ones.

And do you have a place on your roof you can mount it on or do you need Cupolas?  A Cupolas is a small structure usually made out of wood or vinyl that you can attach your weathervane too and attach the cupolas to your roof.  These are nice because it will help make your weather vane stand high above the roof line so everyone can see.
